The Cafe Coach (Store Manager) role exists as the main administrative presence in the Stone Creek Coffee Cafes. Our Cafe Coaches begin their journey with Stone Creek Coffee as a Cafe Coach in Training. Our Cafe Coach Trainee (CCT) program is designed to equip individuals to support larger teams and business units as they grow in their path. Coaches work with their team to ensure every person coming into a Stone Creek Coffee Cafe experiences "Remarkable Care."


Role Aspects

  • CONNECTING WITH CUSTOMERS -- Cafe Coaches build a team that prioritizes the customer over all other work in the cafe. They endeavor to treat all guests with the same care and attention we would devote to our close friends and family. Cafe Coaches are also willing to participate in crucial conversations as needed to maintain a healthy cafe environment.
  • OFFERING SOLUTIONS -- Cafe Coaches ensure their team cares for their customers by offering product recommendations as needed. They, alongside their team, go above and beyond to show the customer they are the most important thing. 
  • COFFEE GEEK - Coffee Geeks believe that Remarkable Care starts with the cup. Everybody at Stone Creek should love coffee, possess contagious passion around it, and want to explore it deeper, while communicating opportunities to pursue continued coffee education opportunities to their team members as well. 
  • CLEAN SPACE -- Each cafe's Cafe Coach works alongside their team to provide a world-class environment for our customers and coworkers. They support developing systems and utilize tools provided to keep everything neat, clean and beautifully stocked with fresh products.

  • BUDGET & METRIC TRACKING AND FOLLOW-UP - Cafe Coaches have a clear understanding of team financial success or struggles including their performance to their respective budget lines. They use this understanding to craft plans to improve their financial performance.

Training

Stone Creek Coffee has a paid training program for our Cafe Coaches which includes our Barista and Leadership training courses. We also offer ongoing training opportunities to ensure we never stop learning!


Compensation Structure

The Cafe Coach is a full-time salaried position eligible for the Stone Creek Coffee benefit package which includes:

Cafe Coach Trainees start as hourly employees beginning at $14.00 an hour plus tips. During CCT training participants are eligible for Stone Creek Coffee benefits including complimentary coffee, employee discounts, insurance, etc.

For CCTs who complete training and are placed in a Cafe of their own, we offer an annual salary beginning between $46,000 - $50,000; starting pay based on qualifications and experience.
