Position:

Sr. Vehicle CAE NVH Engineer (Job Code: 1014)

Duties:

Responsible for performing Noise, Vibration, and Harshness (NVH) simulations to develop and optimize EV body, chassis, and closures structure; use CAE tools to lead and guide vehicle NVH design; assess NVH performance of Body-in-White (BIW), trimmed body, and full vehicle using ANSA, OptiStruct, HyperMesh, and similar tools; develop and debug full vehicle NVH models using pre-processing tools such as ANSA and HyperMesh; provide design improvement recommendations based on NVH simulation results; analyze results to identify issues and optimize solutions through multiple simulation iterations; utilize ANSA, HyperMesh, Nastran, OptiStruct, HyperView, HyperGraph, META Post, and MeshWorks to perform duties; support component and vehicle testing and perform simulations to correlate CAE results with physical test data; apply advanced methodologies like Design of Experiments (DOE) and Design for Six Sigma (DSS) for design optimization; generate detailed technical reports summarizing simulation results and design enhancements; and collaborate with design, manufacturing, testing and supplier teams to achieve target NVH performance.

Location: Troy, MI and various unanticipated worksites throughout the US;

Salary: $151,328 per year;

Minimum Qualifications:

Education: Master's Degree in Automotive Engineering, Electronic Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or in a related field of study (will accept equivalent foreign degree);

Experience: Four (4) years in the position above, as an Analyst - CAE, as a CAE Engineer, as a CAE NVH Engineer, as a Manager - Vehicle Integration and Validation, as an NVH CAE Supervisor, as a Product Engineer, as a Staff Model Build Analyst, or in a related occupation;

Other Requirements: Experience must include four (4) years' use of all the following: ANSA, HyperMesh, Nastran, OptiStruct, HyperView, HyperGraph, META Post, and MeshWorks.

Will also accept any suitable combination of education, training and/or experience.
