Job description

Full-time Machine Designers to work on a number of programs involving the following types of applications:

· Custom Industrial Automation, Assembly and Gauging Equipment

· Powertrain Research & Development Test Equipment

Responsibilities:

· Create concept drawings from sketches and functional requirements.

· Develop Solid Models and detail drawings using CAD in accordance with corporate methodologies and applicable standards.

· Interface with outside vendors for component selection, manufacturing, and assembly.

· Confer with engineers and other personnel to gather information, resolve problems, and provide technical data.

Qualifications:

· 2 or 4 Year Degree in Mechanical Engineering Technology, Computer Aided Design, Industrial Design or related technical field.

· Excellent problem solving and time management skills.

· Proficient in SolidWorks.

· Working knowledge of GD&T.

· Experience with special machines, automation and gauging preferred.

· Familiarity with powertrain components such as gears, gearings and shafting is a plus.

· Must be self motivated and highly organized
