CAD/CAM Designer – Fixed Restorations (3Shape)

Location: Charlotte, NC (On-site)

Employment Type: Full-Time (40 hours/week)

About the Role

A well-established full-service dental laboratory in Charlotte, NC is seeking an experienced CAD/CAM Designer – Fixed Technician with strong expertise in 3Shape to support high-quality fixed restorative workflows. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled digital technician who enjoys hands-on involvement, teamwork, and working in a fast-paced production environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design crowns and custom abutments using 3Shape, including split-file workflows
  • Perform Encode decoding and work confidently with scan bodies
  • Support implant restorative cases from design through production readiness
  • Pre-finish and work with green-state zirconia as needed
  • Perform scanning of models and cases when required
  • Nest cases for milling (experience with MillBox is a plus)
  • Collaborate closely with other departments to ensure accuracy, quality, and turnaround times
  • Maintain high standards for consistency, communication, and case documentation

Required Qualifications

  • Proven experience as a Fixed CAD/CAM Designer in a dental laboratory
  • Strong working knowledge of 3Shape design software
  • Experience with implant workflows, including scan bodies and Encode systems
  • Comfortable working in a high-volume, deadline-driven environment
