Responsibilities:
• Develop and implement category strategies based on market insights and business goals.
• Analyze sales data, market trends, and consumer insights to identify growth opportunities.
• Manage product portfolio performance, including SKU rationalization and innovation planning.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to launch new products and optimize existing ones.
• Partner with sales teams to develop customer-specific category plans and presentations.
• Monitor competitor activity and adjust strategies accordingly.
• Lead pricing, promotion, and placement strategies to maximize category performance.
• Prepare regular reports and presentations for senior leadership.
Qualifications:
Required:
• Bachelor's degree in marketing, Business, Food Science, or related field
• 5+ years of experience in category management, trade marketing, or brand management in the food or CPG industry
• Strong analytical skills with proficiency in tools like Nielsen/IRI, Excel, and Power BI
• Excellent communication, presentation, and project management skills
Preferred:
• MBA
• Knowledge of food manufacturing processes and retail/foodservice channels
