Cable Puller Lead
Taylor, TX
Description
Doota Industrial America is seeking an experienced Cable Puller Lead to oversee cable pulling crews on a major industrial construction project at the Samsung Semiconductor Plant in Taylor, Texas. The Cable Puller Lead is responsible for coordinating daily field activities, ensuring work is completed safely and efficiently, and providing guidance to cable pullers while working closely with electricians, foremen, and project management.
This position is ideal for a motivated leader with strong industrial construction experience who can maintain productivity, enforce safety standards, and ensure quality installations in a fast-paced environment.
RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Lead and supervise a team of cable pullers during daily operations
  • Coordinate cable pulling activities with electricians, foremen, and project supervisors
  • Read and interpret blueprints, cable schedules, conduit layouts, and installation drawings
  • Plan cable pulling routes and ensure proper installation methods are followed
  • Assign daily tasks and monitor crew productivity
  • Ensure cables are pulled, routed, secured, and labeled according to project specifications
  • Coordinate material staging, cable reels, tools, and equipment
  • Inspect completed work to ensure compliance with quality standards
  • Maintain daily production reports and communicate project progress
  • Train and mentor new cable pullers on proper installation techniques and safety procedures
  • Enforce OSHA regulations and Samsung site safety requirements
  • Identify and resolve field issues while minimizing project delays
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
  • Perform hands-on cable pulling alongside the crew when needed
  • Assist with additional electrical installation tasks as assigned
SKILLS & PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
  • Strong leadership and crew management skills
  • Excellent communication and organizational abilities
  • Ability to read construction drawings and cable schedules
  • Knowledge of cable pulling equipment, conduit systems, cable trays, and raceways
  • Strong understanding of industrial construction safety practices
  • Ability to prioritize work and meet production deadlines
  • Comfortable working in active industrial construction environments
  • Must be able to stand, bend, kneel, crouch, climb ladders, and work at heights for extended periods
  • Frequently lift and carry up to 50 pounds
  • Ability to work in varying weather conditions, heat, dust, and noise
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills

Requirements
  • Minimum 3+ years of industrial or commercial cable pulling experience
  • Minimum 1 year of experience leading or supervising cable pulling crews
  • OSHA 10 Certification (required)
  • OSHA 30 Certification (preferred)
  • Experience on semiconductor, manufacturing, data center, or large industrial construction projects preferred
  • Must pass background check and pre-employment drug screen
  • Reliable transportation (6:30 AM start time is required)
  • Ability to work overtime and weekends when project demands require
  • Familiarity with Samsung site procedures is a plus
  • Strong commitment to safety, quality, and teamwork
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience leading crews of 5-15 cable pullers
  • Experience coordinating work with licensed electricians
  • Ability to identify and troubleshoot installation issues in the field
  • Experience using cable pulling equipment, tuggers, cable feeders, and tension monitoring equipment
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish or English/Korean) is a plus
