Job description

Job Summary: This position is a Data Center Cable Tech supporting the customer. This is a new project and the team is building a brand new team for this project. Candidates must have a flexible work attitude. You must have experience of working in Data Center including experience of Rack Installation, Server Cabinet Installation, Structured cabling. This is not a Field installation or TV or Phone cabling service technician role. Shift time is 07:00 AM to 03:30 PM CST. Required Skills, Experience:
  • ssembly and installation of servers, switches and cabling.
  • Installation of support structures.
  • Experience handling very specific wire labeling and grouping based on customer specs.
  • Knowledge of copper (UTP, Cat5e, Cat6, Cat6a) and fiber optic cable.
  • Understanding of data rack cabling standards and best practices.
  • Terminating cable and distribution frames.
  • bility to read and interpret various types of build documents, schematics, and cable running lists.
  • Safely operate various hand tools, maintain accurate inventory, and maintain safety standards.
  • Minimum five years of experience cabling complex data rack systems & min of 1 year wire labeling.
