The Comtran Group is looking for a Fiber Optic Splicing Technician.  This role consists of all aspects of Inside Plant (ISP) and Outside Plant (OSP) fiber optic cable splicing.

  • Fiber optic fusion splicing (includes building splice enclosures, placing inside wall mount splice enclosures)
  • Fiber optic mechanical splicing (Unicams or equivalent mechanical connectors)
  • Fiber optic testing (continuity, insertion loss, OTDR and fiber characterization)
  • Fiber optic troubleshooting for repair
  • Bucket truck operation
  • Lowering and raising aerial splice enclosures
