Cable Technician - Low Voltage / Controls Support
Department: Low Voltage / Controls
Location: Red Oak, TX - Onsite (both indoor and outdoor work required)
Role Type: Contract, through end of year with strong possibility of extension

Their team is known for meeting aggressive project timelines without sacrificing workmanship, and they pride themselves on a culture of accountability, precision, and continuous growth.
Job Description
We are looking for hardworking, reliable individuals to join an active data center construction project in Red Oak, TX immediately. No prior cable or low-voltage experience is required - our client is willing to train the right people. This is a contract role expected to run through the end of the year, with the strong possibility of extension based on ongoing project activity.
This is an active construction job site, and the work happens both indoors and outdoors, in all conditions. If you're willing to show up on time, work hard, take direction well, and get the job done rain or shine, this is a great opportunity to build a career in the growing data center construction space.
Duties & Responsibilities
  • Pull and route low-voltage cable throughout the data center site, both indoors and outdoors
  • Install leak detection systems according to project specifications and standards
  • Zip-tie and dress cable neatly and professionally to ensure a clean, organized installation
  • Run cable on pods and scaffolding at heights up to approximately 6 feet
  • Load, unload, and move materials and equipment around the job site as needed
  • Follow installation standards and written project instructions at all times
  • Support ongoing controls and BMS infrastructure work as directed
  • Maintain clean, organized work areas in compliance with site safety protocols
  • Coordinate with controls/BMS teams and other trades on-site

Required Experience & Skills
  • Willingness to work both indoors and outdoors on an active construction site, in all weather conditions
  • Comfortable working from ladders and scaffolding at heights around 6 feet
  • Ability to follow direction and work independently once trained
  • Reliable attendance - must show up on time and ready to work every day
  • Physically able to perform manual labor throughout the workday
  • Positive attitude and ability to thrive in a fast-paced job site environment
  • Must be able to pass applicable background screening
  • No prior experience required - training provided

Nice-to-Haves
  • Previous experience in construction, cable installation, or low voltage
  • Previous experience working in a data center environment
  • Exposure to controls or BMS systems
  • Fiber cable experience
