Position Overview

Lighthouse Electrical is seeking an experienced Electrical Superintendent to oversee and manage commercial electrical construction projects from inception to completion. The successful candidate will lead field crews and ensure all electrical installations, maintenance, and repair work are completed efficiently, safely, and in compliance with all applicable codes and regulations.

This role requires strong leadership abilities, extensive knowledge of electrical systems, and excellent project management skills.


Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise and manage the daily operations of electrical crews on construction sites
  • Ensure all electrical work meets industry standards, local building codes, and safety regulations
  • Collaborate with project managers, engineers, subcontractors, and other stakeholders to ensure timely project completion
  • Coordinate material orders, equipment deliveries, and manpower schedules
  • Monitor project progress and provide regular updates to senior management
  • Conduct inspections of electrical systems and resolve issues as needed
  • Maintain a safe work environment by enforcing safety protocols and conducting regular safety meetings
  • Troubleshoot complex electrical issues and provide technical guidance to field personnel
  • Maintain project documentation including schedules, reports, and project plans
  • Mentor and train apprentice electricians and crew members

Qualifications
  • Minimum of 7 years of experience in electrical construction, with at least 3 years in a supervisory role
  • Licensed Journeyman or Master Electrician
  • In-depth knowledge of electrical systems, blueprints, and National Electrical Code (NEC) requirements
  • Strong leadership and team management skills
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
  • Proficiency with project management software and construction technology tools
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Valid driver's license and ability to travel to various job sites

Education
  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Construction Management, or related field preferred
