The ideal candidate is a hands-on sales leader who understands channel sales, dealer networks, and the importance of clear expectations, disciplined follow-up, field-level coaching, and strong factory support. This person must be comfortable managing through influence, using data to drive decisions, and building productive relationships with independent reps, dealers, internal customer service, operations, and leadership.

Key ResponsibilitiesSales Leadership and Revenue Growth
  • Lead national sales efforts to achieve annual revenue, gross margin, and customer growth targets.
  • Develop and execute territory-level sales plans that align with RiverRun’s strategic growth objectives.
  • Identify opportunities to grow revenue with existing dealers through increased share of wallet, stronger engagement, product training, and consistent follow-up.
  • Drive new dealer acquisition in targeted markets by working through independent manufacturers’ reps and supporting prospecting, onboarding, and conversion efforts.
  • Monitor market conditions, competitive activity, customer feedback, and industry trends to identify growth opportunities and risks.
Independent Rep Management
  • Recruit, evaluate, onboard, train, and manage independent manufacturers’ sales representative agencies across assigned territories.
  • Establish clear expectations for rep activity, customer coverage, dealer development, sales reporting, and results.
  • Conduct regular performance reviews with rep groups, including pipeline reviews, account plans, new dealer targets, revenue performance, and market feedback.
  • Hold reps accountable for territory growth, customer engagement, and follow-through on agreed-upon action items.
  • Identify underperforming territories or rep relationships and recommend corrective actions, territory realignment, or replacement when necessary.
Dealer Development and Customer Engagement
  • Strengthen relationships with key RiverRun dealers and support reps in managing high-value accounts.
  • Partner with reps to improve dealer onboarding, product knowledge, showroom presence, and confidence in selling RiverRun Cabinetry.
  • Support dealer training programs, product launches, promotional initiatives, and field visits that improve dealer engagement and sales effectiveness.
  • Use customer feedback, sales data, and account history to identify accounts at risk, growth accounts, and opportunities for targeted support.
  • Represent RiverRun professionally at trade shows, dealer meetings, rep meetings, customer visits, and industry events.
Sales Process, Reporting, and Accountability
  • Build and maintain a disciplined sales management cadence, including regular rep calls, territory reviews, customer follow-ups, and leadership reporting.
  • Use CRM tools, sales dashboards, and financial reporting to track opportunities, account activity, revenue performance, and forecast accuracy.
  • Provide leadership with clear, timely updates on sales performance, rep effectiveness, pipeline health, market opportunities, and obstacles to growth.
  • Translate sales goals into measurable activity expectations and leading indicators for each territory and rep group.
  • Collaborate with customer service, operations, finance, logistics, and product teams to resolve customer issues and improve the overall dealer experience.
Qualifications
  • Proven sales leadership experience in cabinetry, building products, home improvement, construction materials, or a related dealer-based channel.
  • Experience managing independent manufacturers’ representatives, rep agencies, distributors, dealers, or other indirect sales channels.
  • Demonstrated ability to grow revenue through both existing customer development and new account acquisition.
  • Strong business acumen, including the ability to understand revenue, margin, territory performance, customer profitability, and market opportunity.
  • Comfortable using CRM systems, sales reports, dashboards, and account data to manage performance and make decisions.
  • Excellent communication, coaching, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
  • Ability to travel regularly to meet with reps, dealers, prospects, and internal teams.
Preferred Experience
  • Direct experience selling to kitchen and bath dealers, cabinet dealers, builders, remodelers, distributors, or showroom-based customers.
  • Familiarity with semi-custom, stock, or mid-market cabinetry product lines.
  • Experience building a sales process, rep scorecard, territory plan, or dealer growth program.
  • Prior responsibility for national or multi-state sales coverage.
  • Experience working in a growth-oriented manufacturing environment.
Key Success Measures
  • Achievement of annual sales and top-line revenue growth targets.
  • Growth in revenue per active dealer and improved performance from existing accounts.
  • Number and quality of new dealers opened in targeted markets.
  • Improved independent rep performance, activity, accountability, and reporting discipline.
  • Improved sales forecast accuracy and visibility into territory pipelines.
  • Stronger dealer engagement, retention, and satisfaction.
  • Effective collaboration with internal teams to improve customer experience and remove barriers to sales growth.
Leadership Attributes
  • Results-oriented and accountable, with a strong bias for follow-through.
  • Relationship-driven, while still willing to set expectations and address performance gaps.
  • Comfortable managing through influence rather than direct authority.
  • Data-informed, practical, and disciplined in decision-making.
  • Clear communicator who can align reps, dealers, and internal teams around common goals.
  • Customer-focused and committed to making RiverRun easy to do business with.
