As a CAA, your day typically involves preparing patients for anesthesia, assisting with induction and maintenance of anesthesia, monitoring vital signs, and adjusting anesthetic levels as needed under the direction of a supervising anesthesiologist. You may also participate in post-anesthesia care, document patient progress, and respond swiftly to changing clinical situations. Collaboration is central to the role, as you work closely with anesthesiologists, surgeons, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to ensure patient safety.
