Fork Truck Driver, 2nd Shift

Job Description Summary

Fork Truck Driver: 2nd Shift $19.96 hr.
The forklift operator is responsible to load/ unload and move materials (trash/ recyclables/ Cardboard) by hand or with basic material handling equipment. Operate a variety of forklift equipment to load, unload and move materials around the Plant.

Job Description

  • Pay: $19.96hr.
  • Schedule: Monday-Friday (2:30pm-11:00pm).
  • The forklift operator is responsible to load/ unload and move materials (trash/ recyclables/ Cardboard) by hand or with basic material handling equipment. Operate a variety of forklift equipment to load, unload and move materials around the Plant.
  • Maintain the facilities equipment and materials in a neat, clean, and orderly fashion.
  • Operate all equipment in a safe and efficient manner following prescribed work methods.
  • Maintain a clean, neat, and orderly work area.
  • Conduct operations in a manner that promotes safety.
  • Comply with OSHA and SDS Standards.
  • Work environment will consist of regular exposure in a manufacturing setting.
  • Fast-paced environment and repetitive tasks.
  • Drug test and Pre employment physical are required for this position.
  • Overtime is mandatory and based on production schedule.

Experience

  • 1+ years of previous industrial material handling experience in a manufacturing facility preferred.
  •  Training is available to candidates based on applicant experience in related fields.
  • Stand Up Fork Truck experience a Plus.

Skills/Knowledge

  • Ability to maintain forklift certification.
  • Ability to read and interpret written instructions and to write intelligible reports.
  • Knowledge of plant lay out including location of materials.
  • Plant safety policies and procedures.
  • Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations.

Education

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Must be certified by C&W Services to operate fork-lift before he/she can be put to work. (We will train you and certify you through CW Services).
