Position:Senior Software Engineer

Duties:Requirement and Scoping Analysis: Assess gaps/ updates/ modifications between the customer/business expectations and the existing product/solutions (in case of agilemethodology, for the iteration). Classify the requirements into applicable types (For example - Functional/Non-Functional, Derived/Imposed/Emergentetc.). Anticipate thesolutionrisks / issues during requirements gathering phase, inform relevant stakeholders and recommend corrective steps. Contribute to the creation of user stories for component/application/complex (For agilemethodology). Solution Design: Toassistin design of solutions such as the processes /applicationswork in tandem for specific components/modules of a product. Evaluate trade-offs while designing acomponentbased onthe businessrequirements.Assistin conversion of HLD (High Level Design) to create detailed design using mock screens, pseudocodesand detailed functional logic of the modules for specific modules / components of a product. Coding: To create/configure minimalistic code for entire component/application and ensure the componentsare meetingbusiness/technical requirements, non-functional requirements, low-maintainability, high-availability, and high-scalability needs.Assistin the selection ofappropriate languages(E.g., JavaScript, Python, C# etc.), development standards and tools (E.g., Monday.com, Linx,Emboldetc.) for software coding/configuration. Take the initiative to learn the fundamentals of different coding languages and frameworks that would be useful for future scope of work. Build scripts for automation of repetitive and routine tasks in CI/CD (Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery),Testingor any other process (as applicable). Implement telemetry features asrequiredindependently. Ensure security policy requirements are properly applied to components/application during code development/configuration. Testing: To map the customerrequirements into testobjectives.Identifyand create test cases for the component/module. Execute test cases to test the code and detect errors and defects for the entirecomponent. Executedifferent typesof testing usingappropriate testingtools based on the testing needs. Defect Management and Troubleshooting: To track and analyze defects for the component/ module and carry out regression testing to fix defects in all instances of code changes. Analyze defects from past projects/solutions to avoid recurrence of similar defects. Troubleshoot performance and availability bottlenecks for the application. DevOps Orientation: To conduct complex maintenance procedures for applications independently. Monitor and evaluate the performance of the application by tracking and analyzingappropriate metrics; Perform maintenance (corrective, adaptive, perfective) and re-engineering activities. Analyze application logs, maintenance activity data, performance data and provide analysis; Evaluate change requests toidentifythose which are valid andfeasible.Program Monitoring: To ensure adherence to the project against approved milestones and timelines.

Minimum education and experience required:Master's degree or the equivalent in computer science, computer engineering, computer information systems, software engineering, or related field and 1 year of experience in software engineering or related experience; OR Bachelor's degree or the equivalent in computer science, computer engineering, computer information systems, software engineering, or related field and 3 years of experience in software engineering or related experience.

Skills Required:Must have experience with: Participating in technical discussions with cross functional teams for program level deliverables and software architecture using Agile methodology; Participating in discovery phase of medium to large projects to develop high level design; Designing and developing high quality software features and functionality using several technologies such as C#, VB, PL/SQL, C, C++ shell and frameworks such as.Net, Entity Framework; Designing Relational Database schema (e.g. DB2, SQL Server); Performing code reviews to ensure software code quality with knowledge of 'git' or another source code management tool; Engaging in unit and integration testing of the web services to provide optimized performance for high throughput-low latency applications and using testing tools; Database modeling and querying SQL and NoSQL databases (MS SQL, Informix DB, and COSMOS DB); Testing Tools using Postman/Swagger; Participating in end-to-end application/service implementations, data feeds ingestion, and orchestration; Building scripts for automation of repetitive and routine tasks in CI/CD, Testing or any other process.Employerwill accept any amount of experience with the required skills.

Rate of pay:$90,000.00 - 180,000.00/year
