Job description

The C-Operator will perform a variety of tasks related to infrastructure improvement projects, as outlined in the Collective Bargaining Agreement. These responsibilities include general labor on projects such as asphalt paving, catch basin repair/replacement, storm sewer installation, and right-of-way brushing. The C-Operator will operate a range of equipment, including non-CDL dump trucks, crew cab pickup trucks, fuel trucks, front-end loaders, forklifts, power brooms, wood chippers, and asphalt kettles. Additionally, the C-Operator may assist in the production and installation of street signs and contribute to the maintenance and repair of the Township fleet. If properly licensed, the C-Operator may also operate Class A and B Commercial Vehicles.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

The C-Operator position duties will include, but not be limited to, the following:

1. Provide general labor on various Township infrastructure projects.

2. Operate a one-ton dump truck equipped with a plow and tailgate spreader for snow removal.

3. Competently operate various pieces of Township equipment.

4. Assist in the production and erection of street signs.

5. Assist in the maintenance and repair of the Township fleet.

6. Custodial duties.

7. General building maintenance.

8. Provide other services and perform other tasks as requested or assigned by the Director of Public Works and/or Township Manager.

9. This position is governed by the terms set forth in the Collective Bargaining Agreement and the job duties shall change from time to time to reflect the most current Agreement.
