Our current opening is for a Fire Safety Service Field Engineer (Technician). The Fire Safety Service Field Engineer is responsible for programming and troubleshooting Fire Alarm systems. Applicant must have proficient knowledge in the following areas: Fire Systems, Common Electrical Instruments and their usage, Local and Wide Area Networking, Life Safety and Security Codes/Standards. Additional responsibilities include:

Responsible for servicing product and equipment on assigned projects and ensuring customer satisfaction.

Identifies, analyzes, diagnoses, and repairs systems and products at customer's location.

Performs preventative maintenance, site surveys, replacement and modifications as needed or requested by customers.

Ability to work with hand tools for mounting, assembling, testing, and programming systems.

Identifies, analyzes, diagnoses, and repairs systems and products at customer's location.

Documents work by completing paperwork on each job and maintaining files.

Provides technical support to customers.

Flexibility to work overtime/weekends, as required.


Requirements

  • Associate's degree or equivalent from two-year college or technical school; or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Valid driver's license
  • Final candidates must successfully pass a pre-employment drug screen and background investigation, including criminal and motor vehicle check.
