Job description

We are seeking an experienced Facility Security Officer (FSO) to lead and administer security programs supporting our classified fast-paced DoD environments.  This highly visible role serves as a trusted advisor to leadership and is responsible for implementing and directing all security programs at BVG and Company.  This role will Interface with all levels of personnel and government management personnel to ensure contract security compliance with the National Industrial Security Program Operating Manual (NISPOM) and Contract Security Classification Specification (DD Form 254) and Security Classification Guides (SCGs).  This is a remote position with occasional travel to support the company initiatives.  

Location:
Fully Remote: Work from anywhere in the US - East Coast Preferred

Position Duties:
•    Administer and coordinate all aspects of security activities in accordance with company policies and procedures to ensure compliance with federal security regulations
•    Provide security support, procedures and policy for classified meetings
•    Review and maintain program security database
•    Process all new employee security clearances
•    Brief all new hires on security procedures and policies
•    Provide guidance to employees and recommend modification to operations policies or procedures
•    Ensure all assigned personnel meet/maintain the appropriate security clearance requirements
•    Provide continuous training and guidance in all areas of security, including but not limited to, local procedures, OPSEC, Communication Security (COMSEC), and Security Awareness
•    Ensure compliance with DOE/NNSA policies 
•    Maintain the strict confidentiality of sensitive information

Required Skills, Education, and Experience:
•    Bachelor’s degree in an area applicable to the position with 3+ years of experience in security compliance administration; an additional 4 years of experience may be considered in lieu of a degree requirement. 
•    Must be a US Citizen and must be able to obtain and maintain a Top Secret DoD Security clearance as well as SAP and SCI accesses
•    Must have experience with DoD process and procedures
•    Working knowledge of federal security requirements
•    Highly organized, self-motivated, and able to manage multiple priorities independently and as part of a team 
•    Must possess the ability to identify issues and develop solutions to a variety of complex problems of diverse scope.
•    Excellent troubleshooting and observational skills
•    Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills
•    Must be able to effectively interface, influence, and counsel employees, managers, and external
•    Up to 20% of travel is expected for this role, including overnight and out-of-state as required to support operations, customer engagements, or company initiatives

Preferred Qualification:
•    Experience with DoD or DOE/NNSA
•    Current and active DOE Q Clearance/Top Secret Clearance with the ability to acquire an SCI.
•    FSO Certification, CDSE FSO Program Management, Certified Professional (CPP), Industrial Security Professional (ISP) or Physical Security Professional (PSP) are a plus 

Required Clearance:
This position requires a TS/SCI and Q clearance.  To obtain a clearance, an individual must be at least 18 years of age and requires US citizenship.  All successful applicants must complete a new employment drug test and maintain a substance abuse policy that includes random drug testing.  Selected applicants will be subject to a background investigation conducted by or on behalf of the Federal Government and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified material.

Pay Range:
Salary at BVG & Company is determined by various factors, including but not limited to geographic location, Federal Government contract labor categories and contract wage rates, relevant prior experience, education, knowledge, skills, certifications and competencies.
