About the Role

Atlas Coffee Club is looking for a hands-on Production Manager to lead our production and fulfillment operations in Austin. You will be responsible for ensuring our coffee moves efficiently from roasting to packaging to shipment—on time, at high quality, and at the lowest sustainable cost.

This role owns production planning, labor and capacity management, and operational performance across the facility. • Manage and develop shift leads and production teams while building a culture of accountability, safety, and continuous improvement.
  • Own production planning, labor forecasting, and capacity management to meet growing order demand.
  • Identify operational bottlenecks and implement process improvements that increase throughput and reduce cost.
  • Monitor key cost drivers including labor, waste, packaging, and equipment downtime.
  • Partner with Supply Chain and Green Coffee teams to ensure materials are available to support production plans.
  • Use operational data and tools such as Redzone to track performance and drive accountability.
  • Lead Lean manufacturing and process improvement initiatives to scale operations efficiently.
  • Partner with Finance on cost performance, forecasting, and operational investments.

What Success Looks Like
  • Orders ship on time and meet customer delivery commitments
  • Production scales smoothly as demand grows
  • Labor efficiency, cost per bag, and throughput consistently improve
  • Quality standards and food safety compliance are maintained
  • The production team is engaged, accountable, and continuously improving

Key Results & Indicators (KPIs)
  • Print-to-ship & On-time delivery rate (%)
  • Safety and compliance audit results
  • OEE (Overall Equipment Effectiveness)
  • Labor efficiency (units per labor hour)

Qualifications
  • 5+ years leading manufacturing or production operations (food, beverage, or CPG preferred)
  • Experience managing production teams in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong knowledge of Lean manufacturing and continuous improvement
  • Experience with ERP/MES systems (Redzone a plus)
  • Strong leadership, analytical, and problem-solving skills
Benefits
  • Medical, Dental, Vision
  • PTO, Sick, Paid Holidays
  • 401k
  • Free Coffee and Tea

Salary
$110,000 - $120,000 dependent on experience and qualifications
