Description
We are seeking a skilled buyer to purchase the materials, supplies, equipment, and services essential for our business. You will have the opportunity to increase our profits by making high-quality and cost-effective purchases. The goal is to acquire supplies that are critical to the success of our business operations. This Position is a temp position through a staffing Agency.
Responsibilities
โ€ข Research, select, and purchase quality products and materials.
โ€ข Build relationships with suppliers and negotiate with them for the best pricing.
โ€ข Process requisitions and update management on the status of orders.
โ€ข Update inventory and ensure that stock levels are kept at appropriate levels.
โ€ข Track orders to ensure timely delivery.
โ€ข Analyze market trends and apply this knowledge to make insightful buying decisions.
โ€ข Coordinate with the inventory team, management, and stockroom as required.
โ€ข Assess the quality of stock received and escalate any discrepancies to suppliers and management.
โ€ข Identify cost reduction opportunities.
โ€ข Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
โ€ข 2+ years of experience in purchasing or procurement roles.
โ€ข Proficiency in MS Office Suite and experience with purchasing software.
