Position Function:

Responsible for performing various tasks on recently processed turkeys and supporting overall departmental operations.

Essential Duties, Functions, & Responsibilities:

·         Perform a variety of tasks, including repetitive manual labor to debone turkey meat.

·         Some tasks are performed using tools or equipment, while others are completed manually.

·         Monitor equipment operation and promptly notify appropriate personnel of any malfunctions or safety concerns.

·         Rotate through various functions within the processing department as needed.

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities & Other Characteristics:

·         Follow all safety, USDA, and GMP policies and guidelines.

·         Maintain a clean and organized workspace.

·         Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

·         Ability to communicate effectively and follow verbal and written instructions & policies.

·         Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.

·         Ability to work at line speed following completion of the training period.

·         Maintain punctual and regular attendance for all scheduled shifts.

·         Willing and able to perform the physical requirements of the position, with or without reasonable accommodation.

·         At least 18 years of age and legally authorized to work in the United States.

·         Must successfully pass a background check, drug screening, and pre-employment physical.

·         Some positions may require the ability to read, write, and speak English.

Physical Requirements:

·         Stand for 8–10 hours per day,

·         Lift up to 50 lbs.

·         Bend, stoop, twist, and squat as necessary.

·         Perform repetitive hand-intensive tasks, including tight gripping, grasping, pinching, and pulling.

Working Conditions:

·         Work in a damp and cold environment.

·         Work around loud, noisy machinery.

·         Work with or around chemicals, fumes, and strong odors.

·         Work with animal organs and waste.

Minimum Qualifications:

·         No minimum education requirement

·         No previous work experience required

·         Must be at least eighteen (18) years old

·         Must be eligible to work legally in the United States
