Job Title: Panel Builder
Job Description

The Panel Builder assembles, wires, and tests electrical control panels and junction boxes from schematic drawings and prints, ensuring safe, reliable, and high-quality operation. This role combines hands-on mechanical and electrical work with blueprint interpretation, troubleshooting, and continuous improvement in a machine shop environment.

Responsibilities

  • Read and interpret schematic drawings, blueprints, and assembly prints to plan panel layout and wiring.
  • Physically assemble electrical control panels, junction boxes, and wire harnesses according to provided prints and specifications.
  • Fabricate controls to print, including layout design and physical mounting of components to the back panel.
  • Wire all electrical components accurately, following schematics and industry standards to ensure safe and reliable operation.
  • Install completed control panels onto equipment and perform functional testing to verify proper operation.
  • Test panels for functionality and safety, identifying any defects or irregularities before release.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues that arise during assembly, wiring, installation, or testing, using mechanical and electrical diagnostic skills.
  • Use hand and power tools safely and effectively during fabrication, assembly, and installation tasks.
