Timberland Health & Rehab is seeking a compassionate and energetic PRN Activity Assistant to join our team in Butler, Alabama. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys working with seniors and wants to make a positive impact by creating engaging activities that enhance our residents' quality of life.

As an Activity Assistant, you will help plan and facilitate recreational, social, and therapeutic activities that promote physical, emotional, and mental well-being in a fun and supportive environment.

Responsibilities
  • Assist in planning and leading daily activity programs for residents.
  • Encourage resident participation in group and one-on-one activities.
  • Escort residents to and from activities as needed.
  • Help coordinate holiday celebrations, special events, and community outings.
  • Assist with decorating and preparing activity areas.
  • Maintain activity supplies and equipment.
  • Document resident participation in accordance with facility guidelines.
  • Build positive relationships with residents, families, and team members.
  • Support the Activity Director in providing a vibrant and engaging resident experience.
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or GED preferred.
  • Previous experience in long-term care, assisted living, recreation, or customer service is preferred but not required.
