Description:

Join RMWBH Law's growing POA team as a Post-Judgment Litigation Paralegal. We are seeking a motivated professional with at least three years of experience to support our expanding practice. This role is based in our Bee Cave office and offers the opportunity for one remote workday per week after one year with the firm and two remote days a week after two years with the firm.


Qualified candidates will have strong computer skills including knowledge of MS Office, desire to work as part of a team in a deadline-driven environment, ability to follow through on tasks to successful completion, excellent interpersonal and communication skills, excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.


Qualifications:

  • Proven working experience as a Litigation Paralegal and Post-Judgment Paralegal
  • Applicable knowledge of judicial foreclosure procedures, motions, discovery, evidence, litigation documentation, court rules and procedures, practices etc
  • Experience with District and County Court systems
  • Experience on working with constables and sheriffs in facilitating judicial foreclosure sales.
  • Highly organized with ability to juggle multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong writing and communication skills along with attention to detail
  • Extensive computer and database expertise

Responsibilities:

  • Conducting pre-claim investigation, legal research and initial case assessments
  • Drafting pleadings, motions and appellate documents and filing them with the court
  • Performing administrative duties (calendar hearings and deadlines, organize case files, manage logistics etc)
  • Coordinating with constable or sheriff for judicial foreclosure sales.
  • Calculate payoff amounts and/or negotiate payment plans with defendants or judgment debtors.
