Position Summary                

The IT Intern will be responsible for maintaining and supporting the end users and workstation environment at the Parker Hydraulic Systems Division facility. The IT Intern will provide best in class customer service in carrying out their duties. The role provides installation, maintenance, and general support of hardware and software and supports end users with advanced questions or problems by identifying, researching, and resolving technical problems. The IT Intern will help support a variety of IT processes and manufacturing applications, that are critical to day-to-day business operations. The IT intern will support data analytics initiatives by developing, modifying, and reviewing Power BI reports and SQL queries. This internship is onsite for Fall/Winter 2026-2027 working no more than 15 hours/week.

Essential Functions

  • Must be self-motivated and a self-starter.

  • This role supports the resolution of critical situation technical problems.

  • Managing incidents and requests in coordination with global IT service desk, utilizing ITIL foundational principles.

  • This role is the link between business applications and users from a technical and process perspective.

  • This role is responsible for direct interaction with internal customers.

  • This role requires you to drive results and proactively identify and resolve problems.

  • Develops training materials to support process changes and new technology introductions.

  • Follow established safety and environmental policies, procedures, and methods applicable to the work area.

  • Perform other duties as necessary.

Qualifications

Education:

  • Rising Junior or Senior pursuing Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field

Experience:

  • At least 1 year of experience with maintenance and repair of computer hardware
  • IT Service Management ticketing tool such as ServiceNow preferred.
