Our client, a boutique tax accounting firm, is seeking a Senior Tax Associate to join their team in Irvine, CA. In this role, you will prepare individual and business tax returns, provide tax planning and advisory services. You’ll work with a variety of clients, including entrepreneurs, real estate companies, and some medical professionals, ensuring accurate and timely tax filings. The ideal candidate will have five years of recent public accounting tax experience, demonstrated ability to prepare complex individual and business returns, and an active CPA license or Enrolled Agent (EA) credential. Senior Tax Associate (Individual & Business Tax exp req) Responsibilities

•    Prepare and review complex federal and California tax returns for individuals, partnerships, and corporations

•    Provide tax planning and advisory services, including projections, estimated payments, entity-structure analysis, and year-end planning 
•    Manage IRS and FTB notice response and resolution, including correspondence, transcript review, and representation under power of attorney 
•    Research federal and multi-state tax questions and document conclusions with authoritative support 
•    Maintain organized, well-documented workpapers and meet filing deadlines
•    Leverage firm technology to work efficiently in a fully paperless environment 

Senior Tax Associate (Individual & Business Tax exp req) Qualifications

•    Active CPA license or Enrolled Agent credential in good standing required
•    5+ years of recent public accounting tax preparation experience required
