Position Summary

The NetSuite & Business Systems Administrator supports Southeast Steel Systems across its Adel, Georgia and Tampa, Florida operations. This role serves as the in-house owner for day-to-day NetSuite administration, business systems coordination, end-user training, documentation, and onsite technology support. The position works closely with the CFO, department leaders, external implementation partners, and SSS's managed service provider (MSP) to improve system use, connectivity, data flow, and employee effectiveness. This is a hands-on role that combines ERP administration, business systems support, training, and continuous improvement.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Administer NetSuite user access, roles, permissions, configuration, updates, reporting, dashboards, workflows, SuiteApps, integrations, and other assigned system functions.
  • Support NetSuite Phase II implementation and future enhancements, including testing, issue resolution, user readiness, process improvement, and adoption.
  • Assist with SuiteScript and related NetSuite customization needs directly when within skill level and coordinate advanced work with approved external resources when needed.
  • Own the day-to-day business systems ecosystem by helping ensure company applications work together, the right tools are used for the right business need, and system changes are sequenced to support operations.
  • Develop and maintain clear system documentation, standard procedures, job aids, and training materials for NetSuite and other SSS systems.
  • Train new and existing employees on NetSuite, company applications, system changes, and proper business processes. Identify recurring user errors and address them through coaching, documentation, or process changes.
  • Partner with Finance, Operations, Manufacturing, Sales, Drafting, HR, and leadership to understand system needs and recommend practical solutions.
  • Maintain accurate tracking of company-issued computers, devices, and related hardware and coordinate with the MSP to maintain asset performance, replacement planning, and support records.
  • Manage the day-to-day working relationship and service performance of the MSP. Provide onsite hands-on support for connectivity, hardware, access, and minor software issues and escalate advanced infrastructure, cybersecurity, network, server, or backend matters to the MSP.
  • Research, evaluate, present, and recommend future business systems, including a next-generation MBS platform, and lead approved rollout, training, documentation, and adoption activities.
  • Participate in annual and multi-year technology and business systems planning to support company growth, efficiency, controls, and operational needs.
  • Travel between SSS locations and other approved business locations as required. Company business travel will be paid or reimbursed under the applicable SSS travel policy.

Qualifications

  • Experience with ERP systems, business applications, technical support, manufacturing systems, drafting/engineering systems, or a related field. Equivalent military, technical, or hands-on operational experience will be considered.
  • Working knowledge of NetSuite or demonstrated ability to develop NetSuite administration skills through structured training and certification.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to distinguish user, process, hardware, software, and vendor-support issues.
  • Ability to train employees with different levels of technical experience and create clear written instructions.
  • Strong organization, follow-through, judgment, confidentiality, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work across departments and locations while managing multiple priorities and deadlines.
  • NetSuite certification is preferred after successful transition into the role and may be required as part of the position development plan.

Work Environment and Physical Requirements

Work is performed in office and manufacturing environments and may require time on the production floor. The employee must be able to use standard computer equipment, move or handle routine IT equipment, and travel between company locations.
