JOB SUMMARY:

Determines operational objectives by identifying stakeholders, studying business functions, gathering information, and evaluating output requirements and formats. Analyzing system requirements; defining requirements, acceptance criteria and test plans; constructing workflow charts and diagrams; studying system capabilities; writing specifications. Improves systems by studying current practices and designing modifications. Recommends controls by identifying problems and writing improved procedures. Understand and follow company data security standards.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES:

An essential job duty of this position is regularly reporting to work on time and being able to perform the essential duties of the position.

  • Maintain and support all assigned applications accurately and efficiently.

  • Analyze current business processes and make recommendations for improvement to company efficiency, accuracy, cost, security, and liability.

  • Work directly with department managers and system users to identify current issues, prepare and document plans to remedy the issues and coordinate/participate in the implementation of the plans.

  • Interact with stakeholders to manage and maintain strategic vision(s) for systems and prioritize the execution of approved initiatives.

  • Collaborate with internal and external developers to effectively design, develop, test, and implement system changes and enhancements.

  • Work with the Project Manager to define project requirements by identifying project milestones, phases, and elements, and establishing the project budget.

  • Monitor project progress by tracking activity; resolving problems; publishing progress reports; recommending actions.

5%

  • Provide references and training for users by writing and maintaining user documentation and providing help desk support.

  • Develop and maintain Standard Operating Procedures related to business systems.

  • Work across the organization to research and answer complex questions including cost of ownership assessment related to enterprise business systems, data architecture design, and efficient/inefficient process and data redundancies.

  • Create and present system status reports to the executive team as requested.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

Education:Completion of bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field.

Experience or Training: 2 years of experience supporting a process manufacturing environment. Must have excellent organizational and communication skills as well as hardware/software technical ability.

Licenses/Certificates (or experience):SQL, Microsoft Office365 Suite, SharePoint; Microsoft CRM/Dynamics or SalesForce, Sage X3 or other ERP Systems, IBM Cognos Analytics, Microsoft PowerBI, Ignition or other SCADA platform, and Document Management systems

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

Licenses/Certificates: Entry Certificate in Business Analysis (IIBA ECBA), Certified Analytics Professional (CAP), Agile Analysis Certification

PHYSICAL AND MENTAL DEMANDS:

An individual must meet the mental and physical requirements described here to successfully perform this position's essential functions.
