Position Overview
We are seeking a seasoned SAP SD/MM Functional Consultant with strong hands-on configuration experience and deep knowledge of S/4HANA processes.
The ideal candidate has experience across SD/MM, understands analytics requirements, and can independently work across configuration, testing, requirements gathering, and business engagement.
This role supports multiple small projects, not a large SDLC implementation, and requires someone adaptable, hands-on, and business-facing.??
Core Skillset (Must-Have)
SAP SD/MM Functional Expertise
SAP SD (Sales & Distribution)
--Hands-on configuration experience in Order-to-Cash (OTC)
--Sales order management
--Delivery processing
--Intercompany invoicing (IC Invoice)
--Pricing knowledge helpful (not required)
SAP MM (Materials Management)
--Master data:
-Info Records
- Source Lists
--Procurement configuration:
-PO (Purchase Order)
- PR (Purchase Requisition)
- Other purchasing functions
--Strong understanding of procurement flows
Cross-Functional Integration
--Strong knowledge of SD–MM integration points, including:-
Stock transport

S/4HANA Experience
--SAP S/4HANA implementation hands-on experience (required)

--Comfortable reviewing and validating interface mapping documents

- Lead functional work across SAP SD/MM, including configuration, testing, and solution design.
- Conduct business workshops, requirements gathering, blueprinting, and fit-gap analysis.
- Support analytics/reporting projects using SAP and non-SAP data (functional responsibility only).
- Create and maintain functional specifications for SD, MM, analytics, and integrations.
- Collaborate with business partners and guide them through solution options.
- Work independently to manage incoming requests and small project deliverables.
- Troubleshoot functional issues and coordinate with technical teams when needed.
- Engage directly with US-based stakeholders; strong communication required.
?? Experience Requirements
- 10–15 years SAP experience across SD + MM (combined)
- Minimum 5–7 years recent US experience
- Proven hands-on configuration experience
- Analytics project exposure (design/requirements; not development)
- Experience delivering in environments with multiple small projects
- Excellent communication and client-facing capabilities

- Strong verbal & written communication
- Ability to lead discussions and drive clarity with business teams
- Highly proactive and comfortable with ambiguity
- Capable of managing workload and priorities independently

- A support-only consultant
- A solution architect who does not configure hands-on
- Someone without analytics exposure
- Unwilling to come onsite 2–3 days per week
