Job description

Stealth NewCo is developing next-generation extrahepatic delivery platforms for oligonucleotide therapeutics. We are seeking an Operations Associate / Manager to help run the day-to-day operations of our growing biotechnology company. This is a broad, hands-on role primarily supporting our Cambridge, MA office and laboratory, as well as coordination with our team in China.

Reporting to the COO, this Kendall Square-based role requires an onsite presence of at least four days per week. The position will focus on business and team operations, including meeting scheduling, project management, and recurring workflows across finance, contracts, HR, and IT, while also supporting lab and facilities operations, inventory, vendors, and special projects.

This is an exciting opportunity for a proactive, resourceful, and exceptionally organized professional who enjoys solving problems, creating structure, and keeping a fast-moving team running smoothly. The successful candidate will work closely with the COO, CEO, and scientific team, take ownership of key operational processes, and help shape the company as it grows. Life sciences experience is required, ideally in an early-stage biotechnology company.

Responsibilities

Business Operations & Strategic Coordination

  • Manage day-to-day office operations, including meeting scheduling and room reservations, coordinating across the U.S. and China teams
  • Facilitate company meetings, operational rhythms, and cross-functional follow-up, helping drive accountability, execution, and progress against company priorities
  • Serve as a trusted operational resource for employees, helping identify, troubleshoot, and appropriately escalate day-to-day issues while proactively addressing obstacles and ensuring teams have the resources they need to be successful

  • Manage software administration, employee technology, workspace logistics, and operational onboarding/offboarding activities
  • Partner with scientific teams to coordinate laboratory support activities, including equipment maintenance, vendor scheduling, asset tracking, and equipment documentation

Finance & Legal Workflows; Strategic Projects

  • Manage purchasing and invoice workflows, including purchase orders, vendor onboarding, payment coordination, expense tracking, forecasting support, and cost allocations
  • Oversee contract workflows among scientists, finance, legal, and vendors, tracking agreements from initial request through signature, renewal, and expiration
  • Lead high-impact operational and cross-functional projects, improve recurring processes, and help build scalable systems as the company grows
Qualifications & Education
  • Bachelor’s degree in life sciences, business, operations, or a related field
  • 3-6 years of experience in operations, administration, project management, or a similar role, within a biotechnology or life sciences company
  • Experience working in a cross-border U.S.-China environment and coordinating across time zones and cultures
  • Strongly preferred: Bilingual fluency in English and Mandarin Chinese
  • Curious, adaptable, and eager to learn, with a willingness to take on new challenges and expand responsibilities as the organization grows
  • Thoughtful and solutions-oriented, with the judgment to navigate ambiguity, balance competing needs, and identify when issues should be escalated
  • Strong organizational and project management skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities, maintain attention to detail, and consistently follow through on commitments
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with a natural ability to build trust, develop relationships, and work effectively across diverse teams and personalities
  • Comfortable working in a dynamic environment where priorities evolve and no two days look exactly the same
  • Proficiency with modern workplace technologies and a demonstrated ability to quickly learn new systems, software platforms, and emerging tools, including AI-enabled solutions that improve productivity and efficiency
