    Yamaha Motor Corporation (YMC) has an excellent opportunity for a Business Intelligence Analyst to join our Marine team. This is a business-focused intelligence and strategy role, not a traditional technical data analytics position. The position provides internal stakeholders with relevant and novel business intelligence based on macroeconomic and industry indicators, business performance, and competitive analysis through the gathering, maintaining, analyzing, and reporting of information. This role is also responsible for managing Marine data and reporting as well as competitive position in the market (financials, strategy, IP).
    What you'll be doing:
    • Leads the reporting for the Marine Business Area of macroeconomic, industry, business, and competitive data; securing reliable data and defining the formatted output.
    • Identify macroeconomic, industry, business and competitive trends and correlations and provide relevant analysis to internal stakeholders.
    • Provides competitive data analysis creating insights into the Marine Industry based on areas such as financials, business strategy and market change.
    • Provide organized data in consistent structure for activities such as data visualization, reporting, forecasting and analysis to support strategic planning and executive decision making.
    • Provide executive support on creation of presentations and visualizations backed by analyzed data
    • Actively contributes with internal stakeholders and participates in Business Intelligence network aiming to collect and develop relevant insights.
    • Collaborate on special projects and continuous improvement activities with internal divisions, Marine Business Unit subsidiaries, and external business partners.
    • Perform ad hoc reporting duties as necessary

    What you need to be successful:
    • BA/BS degree in Business or a related field is required
    • 3-5 years of relevant experience
    • Proficiency with MS Office including advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills
    • Preferred Experience with data visualization tool (SAP Analytics Cloud, Business Objects, Power BI, Tableau)
    • Strong written and verbal communication skills, including direct communications with Executive teams
    • Must be able to travel on a quarterly
    • Flexibility to routinely re-prioritize tasks
    • Professional business acumen
