The software is widely used for decision support, allowing users to create ad-hoc queries and generate reports without needing advanced technical knowledge.

What are some common challenges Business Objects professionals face when working with large datasets, and how can they be addressed?

Business Objects professionals often encounter performance issues and complex data modeling challenges when dealing with large datasets. These challenges can include slow report generation, difficulties in optimizing queries, and ensuring data accuracy across multiple sources. To address these, it's important to leverage indexing, aggregate tables, and proper universe design, as well as to collaborate closely with database administrators and business analysts.
