Position Overview:
Production Technician III is responsible for supporting the production engineering and management teams with implementing continuous improvement projects affecting the manufacturing process as well as troubleshooting systems, machinery, and application software.

Essential Functions:
  • Collaborate with engineering, production, quality, and continuous improvement to resolve production issues
  • Supports manufacturing with the design, build and installation of special jigs and fixtures that may be needed to improve production.
  • Works with Engineering to bring new equipment and processes to the manufacturing floor.
  • Provide training and support to production employees to ensure the highest level of productivity and quality
  • Identify root cause of technical issues arising from the production line and work with team to implement solutions
  • Performs repair, rebuilding or overhaul work of manufacturing or service equipment from blueprints, company manufacturing manuals, and written or verbal instructions
  • Maintain a high standard of conduct and comply with company policies and procedures
  • Build internal testing
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Required Qualifications:
  • 5-7 years of experience in welding and fabrication within production environment
  • High school diploma or GED required,
  • Associates degree or technical certification preferred
  • Ability to independently troubleshoot to the component level
  • Ability to take initiative
  • Ability to manage multiple products/projects
  • Ability to use a computer in a Windows based environment with MS Office]
  • Understanding of and experience with the utilization of LSS and problem-solving tools
  • Possess strong written and verbal communication skills as well as the ability to work in a team environment
  • Knowledge of procedures, instructions and documents as it relates to the quality system
  • Possess working knowledge of computer software applications along with strong record keeping abilities
  • Able to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment
  • Able to communicate effectively and in a professional manner with all functional areas in the facility
  • Capable to lead employees and serve as back up to Team Lead
  • Excellent employee relations skills for all interactions
  • Self-starter and detail oriented preferred

Working Conditions
  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently standing and lifting heavy objects weighing 50 to 100 pounds. The employee is constantly walking, pushing/pulling, reaching, and climbing stairs. The employee is occasionally squatting, kneeling, and using fine hand movements such as tightening screws, bolts, and securing pins. Specific vision requirements include close vision, peripheral vision, and ability to adjust focus. Environmental demands include working both indoors and outdoors and is seasonally exposed to extreme temperatures.

The anticipated pay range for this position is $21.50-$28.92. The actual base pay offered will vary depending on multiple factors including job-related knowledge/skills, relevant experience, business needs, and geographic location.
