Description and Requirements
General Description: Provide day-to-day account management to less complex commercial property and casualty accounts. Includes new and renewal marketing, handling client questions and requests, and coverage review. Support Program Managers and Account Executives.
Responsibilities:
  • Responsible for the retention of assigned client accounts.
  • Handle all aspects of Commercial Lines Property & Casualty Insurance. Includes occasional outside service visits to the client.
  • Accountable for marketing, preparing coverage/product recommendations, and discussing renewals with customers.
  • Prepare proposals and summaries of insurance as needed.
  • Develop and maintain working relationships with customers/prospects.
  • Communicate with services and provide comprehensive account support. Ensure customer needs are met.
  • Capture, assist, design, and manage the service platform.
  • Respond to Underwriters questions in a timely and professional manner.
  • Adhere to Commercial Lines Best Practices. Includes written confirmation of new and renewal binding, evidence of coverage, and changes to coverage.
  • Maintain a high degree of accuracy in agency management and document management systems.
  • Identify exposure to loss and recommend appropriate coverages.
  • Provide work direction to less experienced staff as needed.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
  • 3+ years of insurance experience.
  • High school diploma or graduate equivalent degree required.
  • For direct client service/underwriting, Property & Casualty and/or appropriate business licensure is required.
  • Experience managing less complex commercial property and casualty accounts.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office suite of products.
  • Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Solid problem-solving skills. Ability to comprehend customer needs and recommend solutions.
  • Ability to be flexible and adaptable to changing priorities and deadlines.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment and across all organizational levels.
