Target salary range: $85k - $90k. The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.

JANUS Research Group is seeking a Knowledge Management Engineer to support A-FCD data management, collaboration, reporting, visualization, and information-sharing activities at Fort Rucker. The KM Engineer will organize and integrate information from multiple sources and develop collaborative tools, reporting interfaces, dashboards, and other information-management solutions supporting A-FCD personnel and leadership.

Primary Responsibilities
  • Support implementation and maintenance of A-FCD knowledge-management and data-sharing solutions.
  • Organize and standardize information from multiple data sources.
  • Establish relationships among data elements to improve search, analysis, reporting, and reuse.
  • Develop and maintain SharePoint and other collaborative information environments.
  • Develop data queries, reports, dashboards, and visual information products.
  • Support integration of disparate data sources into common analytical applications.
  • Assist with development and execution of POAMs for KM and data-sharing initiatives.
  • Maintain documentation describing data structures, repositories, collaborative tools, and business processes.
  • Support reporting interfaces designed for multiple organizational echelons.
  • Coordinate with technical and functional personnel to identify information requirements and improve existing workflows.
  • Assist senior KM personnel with data governance and enterprise information-management activities.
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Management, Communications, or a related field.
  • Minimum 3 years of relevant professional experience.
  • Experience with knowledge management, database management, information architecture, technical writing, project management, or related disciplines.
  • Experience with SharePoint, content-management systems, or enterprise collaboration tools.
  • Working knowledge of basic database design, data relationships, queries, reporting, or dashboard development.
  • Ability to integrate, organize, and present information from multiple sources.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Active Secret security clearance.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Power BI or comparable dashboard-development experience.
  • Data-modeling or database-design experience.
  • Experience supporting an engineering, requirements, modeling, or analytical organization.
