  • Develop recurring visual franchises and data-driven features that become signature elements of MarketWatch coverage.
  • Contribute visual storytelling to major news events, live coverage and enterprise projects.
  • Help identify opportunities where data and visual journalism can elevate reporting and reader understanding.
  • Experiment with new storytelling formats, visualization techniques and AI-enabled reporting tools.
  • Ensure all work meets the highest standards of accuracy, clarity and journalistic integrity.
You Have:
  • 3+ years of experience in data journalism, visual journalism, explanatory reporting or a related field.
  • Strong reporting and news judgment skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to analyze and interpret data independently.
  • Experience creating charts, graphics and other forms of visual storytelling.
  • Ability to translate complex topics into clear, engaging journalism.
  • Experience working with data-analysis and visualization tools.
  • Curiosity, creativity and a strong sense of audience needs.
  • Ability to work quickly and collaboratively in a fast-moving newsroom environment.
  • Familiarity with AI-enabled research, analysis and visualization tools is a plus.
