Position Summary
TheInformation Systems & Business Intelligence Analyst serves as the bridge between business operations and technology by identifying opportunities to improve processes, optimize business systems, and delivering meaningful data-driven insights. This role combines business analysis, systems analysis, business intelligence, data analytics, application development, and process automation while leading strategic technology initiatives that improve efficiency and support the company's continued growth.

Essential Functions


Business Process Improvement
Partner with Finance, Operations, Customer Service, Sales, Purchasing, Distribution, and Executive Leadership to understand business objectives andoperational challenges.
Analyze business processes and workflows to identify opportunities for improvement, automation, and increased efficiency.
Recommend technology solutions that improve productivity, reporting, and decision-making.
Identify opportunities to leverage automation and emerging technologies to streamline business operations.
Systems Analysis
Gather, document, and translate business requirements into functional and technical specifications.
Analyze existing systems and recommend enhancements or new technology solutions.
Support ERP, reporting, and internal business applications.
Develop process documentation, workflow diagrams, and test plans.
Participate in user acceptance testing, implementation, and production support.
Data Analytics & Business Intelligence
Develop SQL queries for reporting, business analysis, troubleshooting, and data validation.
Design and support enterprise reporting, dashboards, and business intelligence solutions.
Support enterprise data warehouse initiatives and data integration projects.
Analyze data trends and identify opportunities to improve operational performance.
Ensure data accuracy, integrity, and consistency across business systems.
Develop executive dashboards and performance metrics that support strategic decision-making.
Development & Integration
Assist with application development, automation, and system enhancements using C#, Python, SQL, and related technologies.
Support API integrations and data exchange between internal systems and third-party applications.
Participate in application testing, deployment, upgrades, and ongoing system maintenance.
Develop automation that eliminates manual processes and improves operational efficiency.
Evaluate and implement AI-assisted solutions that improve productivity and business decision-making.

Qualifications


Required Education & Experience
Bachelor's degree in information systems, Computer Science, Business Analytics, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
3-7 years of experience in information systems, business intelligence, business systems analysis, application support, or related technology roles.
Technical Skills
Strong SQL skills including joins, views, stored procedures, query optimization, and data analysis.
Experience with Microsoft SQL Server and relational database design concepts.
Experience developing automation, applications, or system integrations using C#, Python, PowerShell, or similar programming languages.
Experience supporting or enhancing ERP and other enterprise business applications.
Knowledge of data warehousing concepts, ETL processes, and business intelligence solutions.
Experience with API integrations, REST services, JSON, XML, and modern data exchange technologies.
Experience developing dashboards using Power BI, SSRS, or similar reporting platforms.
Understanding software development life cycle (SDLC), testing methodologies, and changing management practices.
