Job description

E-commerce Data & Business Analyst
*Hybrid Role typically 4 days in office, 1 Day WFH depending on if there are holidays, pto, etc. Non-negotiable for fully remote.

Continental Marketing, Inc. (CMI) is an agency that helps manufacturers get products onto the shelves of big-box retailers such as Costco and Kroger, and manages their e-commerce operations across Amazon, Walmart, and, at times, their own D2C. We are hiring an Ecommerce Data & Business Analyst to own the data, reporting, and financial analysis behind that work. This role turns complex datasets into evidence-based insights, maintains clean, reliable reporting and data infrastructure, supports Amazon revenue recovery, and handles the financial documentation that keeps client billing accurate. You will work across Amazon, Costco, and brick-and-mortar channels and report directly to the VP of Ecommerce.

This is a hands-on, detail-driven role for someone who is equal parts analyst and operator. The right person is rigorous with data, comfortable owning recurring deliverables and deadlines across multiple clients, and able to translate numbers into clear recommendations for both internal teams and clients.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Ecommerce Reporting & Data Integrity:
  • Prepare, publish, and maintain recurring ecommerce performance reports across the client portfolio.
  • Verify and validate ecommerce data integrity before it reaches clients or leadership.
  • Own report accuracy, consistency, and on-time delivery.
  • Turn around ad hoc reporting requests and one-off analytical projects, tracking priorities across competing deadlines.
Statistical Analysis & Testing:
  • Perform statistical analysis and hypothesis testing to support strategic decision-making.
  • Run A/B testing on detail page changes, pricing, and content optimizations.
  • Conduct data mining to identify trends, performance gaps, and growth opportunities.
  • Develop and maintain Total Addressable Market (TAM) reporting for Amazon.
Market & Market Share Analysis:
  • Analyze category movement, competitive shifts, and market share across channels.
  • Validate broader market trends against each client's first-party data.
  • Determine whether changes in sales are market-driven, competitor-driven, or strategy-driven, and give the team accurate context for recommendations.
Amazon Revenue Recovery & Financial Oversight:
  • Support Amazon revenue recovery and dispute processes alongside the dedicated disputes FTE and recovery team
  • Produce executive-level summaries of debits and credits within Amazon accounts, including PO performance, gross payment less shortages, dispute outcomes, and AR/AP alignment with Amazon remittances
  • Implement checks and balances against Amazon audits to keep the financial picture complete and transparent
Data Management & Automation:
  • Maintain and manage the databases and data sources behind team reporting.
  • Support AI implementation and advanced analytics initiatives.
  • Contribute to programmatic automation and workflow optimization to reduce manual reporting dependency.
Billing & Financial Documentation:
  • Prepare and manage client invoices for the team across the portfolio.
  • Ensure invoices accurately reflect services provided and payments received.
  • Maintain financial clarity and operational accountability across the practice.

QUALIFICATIONS:
Required:
  • Authorized to work in the United States without current or future visa sponsorship.
  • 2 to 4 years of experience in data analysis, business analysis, or e-commerce reporting.
  • Advanced Excel skills, including comfort working with large, messy datasets.
  • Strong analytical fundamentals: hypothesis testing, segmentation, trend analysis, and data validation.
  • High attention to detail and a track record of accurate, on-time recurring deliverables.
  • Clear written and verbal communication, including the ability to explain findings to non-technical stakeholders.
A Plus:
  • Experience in an agency or multi-brand environment.
  • Familiarity with Amazon Seller Central and Vendor Central (1P and 3P).
  • Power BI or comparable data visualization tools.
  • SQL or hands-on database management experience.
  • Exposure to revenue recovery, disputes, or AR/AP and financial reconciliation.
  • Experience with market share tools such as Amazon Brand Analytics, Stackline, or Helium10.
  • Interest in AI, automation, Vibe Coding, or scripting (Python, R,) to streamline reporting.

WHAT SUCCESS LOOKS LIKE: (First 6 to 12 months)
  • Recurring reports are accurate, consistent, and delivered on time without leadership rework.
  • Data integrity issues are caught before they reach clients.
  • Amazon revenue recovery is fully tracked and reflected in clean executive financial summaries.
  • Client invoices are accurate and issued on schedule.
  • The team trusts you to own the data and reporting layer end-to-end.

SCHEDULE:
Full-time. Onsite at our Tualatin, OR office during a 30-day probationary period, transitioning to a hybrid schedule upon successful completion.

COMPENSATION:
$60,000 per year

WHY CMI:
CMI manages growth for major manufacturer brands across Amazon, Walmart, Costco, and brick-and-mortar retail. You will work on real budgets, real brands, and real financials, alongside a team that takes analytical rigor seriously. This role offers genuine ownership of the data and reporting that drives client decisions, with room to grow into deeper analytics and automation work.

BENEFITS:
  • Medical, dental, and vision insurance
  • 401(k) eligibility after one year
  • Hybrid schedule following a 30-day probationary period

WORK AUTHORIZATION:
Applicants must be legally authorized to work in the United States. CMI does not provide visa sponsorship for this position, now or in the future.
