Summary:

Evolver is seeking a Disaster Recovery & Business Continuity Program Manager to lead and evolve the client's enterprise resilience program across business and technology functions. This role will be responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining disaster recovery (DR), business continuity (BC), and crisis management strategies that ensure the protection of critical investment operations, client services, and corporate functions.

The ideal candidate will have experience within investment management, asset management, hedge funds, private equity, wealth management, or financial services environments, with a strong understanding of regulatory expectations, operational resiliency frameworks, and technology recovery planning.

Location: 4 days on-site rotating presence in San Francisco and San Ramon, CA offices

Responsibilities:

Business Continuity Management

• Develop, maintain, and enhance enterprise-wide Business Continuity Plans (BCPs) aligned with business objectives and regulatory requirements.
• Conduct Business Impact Analyses (BIA) and risk assessments to identify critical business functions, recovery priorities, and operational dependencies.
• Partner with business stakeholders to establish Recovery Time Objectives (RTOs) and Recovery Point Objectives (RPOs).
• Facilitate annual reviews and updates of continuity plans across all business units.
• Ensure continuity strategies adequately support trading operations, portfolio management, client reporting, fund accounting, and other critical investment processes.

Disaster Recovery Program Management

• Lead enterprise disaster recovery planning for critical applications, infrastructure, cloud services, and third-party platforms.
• Coordinate DR testing activities, including tabletop exercises, technical failover tests, and full-scale recovery simulations.
• Track remediation of identified gaps and drive continuous improvements across recovery capabilities.
• Partner with Infrastructure, Cybersecurity, Cloud Engineering, and Application teams to ensure recoverability of critical systems.
• Maintain recovery documentation, runbooks, and testing evidence to support audit and regulatory reviews.

Operational Resilience & Crisis Management

• Support the firm's operational resilience framework and critical business services mapping initiatives.
• Coordinate crisis management planning, response procedures, and executive communications.
• Lead incident response coordination during business disruptions and disaster events.
• Develop reporting and dashboards for senior leadership regarding resiliency readiness, testing outcomes, and risk exposure.

Risk, Governance & Regulatory Compliance

• Ensure compliance with applicable financial services regulations and industry standards.
• Collaborate with Risk Management, Internal Audit, Compliance, Information Security, and technology leadership teams.
• Present program status, testing results, and key risk indicators to executives and governance committees.
• Manage policy development and control documentation aligned with industry frameworks including FFIEC, ISO 22301, NIST, and regulatory resiliency requirements.

Vendor & Third-Party Resilience

• Evaluate third-party and critical vendor resilience capabilities.
• Partner with Vendor Risk Management teams to assess continuity and recovery preparedness.
• Monitor recovery obligations and service-level commitments for outsourced business services and technology providers.

Basic Qualifications:

• 7 years of experience in Business Continuity, Disaster Recovery, Operational Resilience, Risk Management, or related disciplines.
• 7 years of experience conducting BIA, risk assessments, tabletop exercises, and disaster recovery testing.
• 5 years of experience working with cloud environments (AWS, Azure, GCP) and hybrid infrastructure recovery strategies.
• 5 years of experience supporting VMWare products
• 5 years of experience supporting Dell EMC technologies
• 3 years of experience managing enterprise-level resilience programs within financial services, investment management, banking, or capital markets.
• Bachelor's degree in Business, Information Technology, Risk Management, Finance, or related field.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Strong understanding of recovery methodologies, risk assessment frameworks, and operational resilience principles.
• Experience supporting investment management platforms, trading systems, portfolio management applications, and market data services.
• Knowledge of SEC, FINRA, ERISA, OCC, FCA, or other financial services regulatory requirements.
• Professional certifications such as:
• CBCP (Certified Business Continuity Professional)
• MBCP (Master Business Continuity Professional)
• CISM
• CRISC
• PMP
• CISSP
• Familiarity with ServiceNow BCM, Fusion Risk Management, Archer, or similar GRC platforms.
• Exceptional stakeholder management, communication, and executive presentation skills.
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple initiatives and drive cross-functional collaboration.

Actual salary will depend on factors such as skills, qualifications, experience, market and work location. Evolver offers benefits, including health, dental and vision insurance, 401(k), flexible spending account, and paid leave (including PTO and parental leave) in accordance with our applicable plans and policies. The annual salary for this position in the San Francisco Bay Area is $165,000.00 - $185,000.00.
