The Operations Applications Business Analyst s plays a critical role in supporting and optimizing technology solutions that drive operational efficiency across surface operations. This position serves as a liaison between business stakeholders and IT, supporting applications such as Peloton SiteView, eMaint, and related systems. The role focuses on process improvement, data integrity, application support, and delivering scalable solutions that enhance operational decision-making.


Job Responsibilities:

Include but are not limited to

  • Serves as the functional owner and primary support resource forPeloton SiteView, eMaint, and related applications through issue resolution, troubleshooting, and user support.
  • Partner with Infrastructure, Facilities, and Operations teams to understand business processes, operational needs, and project planning requirements.
  • Gather, document, and translate business requirements into system enhancements, configurations, and workflows.
  • Analyze and improve business processes to increase efficiency, consistency, and system effectiveness.
  • Configure and maintain application workflows, security roles, and master/reference data.
  • Utilize SQL to validate data, troubleshoot issues, and support system integrations.
  • Collaborate with IT, data teams, and vendors to resolve application and integration issues.
  • Develop and maintain reports, dashboards, and analytics to support business decision-making.
  • Create user documentation, facilitate training, and provide ongoing support to encourage system adoption and best practices.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree (BBA or BS) in Management Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related field, or a minimum of 4 years of equivalent experience
  • 3+years of experience in business analysis, systems analysis, or application support within the upstream oil and gas industry.
  • Experience supporting Peloton SiteView, eMaint, or similar operational applications.
  • Strong SQL skills with experience in data analysis, validation, and troubleshooting.
  • Proven ability to gather, document, and translate business requirements into technology solutions.
  • Understanding of cross-functional business processes and downstream data impacts, including accounting, supply chain, and other operational functions.
  • Strong problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience supporting Production, Infrastructure, Facilities, or Surface Operations teams.
  • Familiarity with Snowflake, Python, Peloton WellView and the broader Peloton application suite.
  • Experience with reporting and analytics tools such as Spotfire.
  • Knowledge of IT service management processes, including incident, problem, and change management.
