Business Analyst - II
Job Description:
The Business Analyst will apply analytical skills to business challenges across Chartway. This position will work in a collaborative environment on a horizontal team supporting several business units who will value the insights and recommendations you will bring. This position will problem-solve through data while thoughtfully incorporating product dynamics, marketing influences, and wide range of member impact into recommended solutions. Using rigorous analytical techniques, be able to extract and interpret complex data elements and in a refined manner communicate to inform and influence leaders across Chartway.
Responsible and Accountable for:
Develops and maintains action-based reporting and dashboards using Power BI and coding in SQL, writing and optimizing SQL queries delivering monthly metrics to identify trends and opportunities.
Collaborates with cross-functional teams, including Data Engineering, Application Technology, and business line managers, to support data-driven initiatives and ensure the accuracy and validity of data.
Supports business initiatives by providing analytical insights, makes recommendations and clearly communicates findings through custom-coded SQL queries, Power BI visuals, and DAX expressions.
Works closely with various teams on projects to obtain necessary data, and track performance.
Translate complex data into clear, actionable recommendations that align with the organization's goals and objectives, leveraging DAX measures and SQL code where appropriate.

Gather, clean, and integrate data from multiple sources (data warehouse, spreadsheets, etc.) to create centralized, accurate, and accessible reporting.
Transform strategic and operational inquiries into actionable analytics requirements, extract and analyze data using SQL, and present insights in a clear, compelling narrative to inform decision-making and drive action.
Personally develop and maintain advanced performance reports, dashboards, and visualizations using Power BI, incorporating drill-through features, bookmarks, tooltips, and parameterized filters.
Develop and code SQL queries and DAX expressions to create custom reports aligned with the specific needs of our various business lines.
Participate in thorough SQL code review to ensure best practices, optimize query performance, and maintain data integrity.
