Business Analyst Atlanta, GA / Hybrid Blu Omega is seeking a Business Analyst to support a federal program focused on public health analytics. This role operates within a hybrid environment and is responsible for requirements elicitation, process mapping, user story development, and supporting Agile delivery. The position requires experience working directly with business stakeholders in a mission-driven environment. Program Overview The program supports public health data modernization initiatives to improve analytics capabilities for government health agencies. Key Details Location: Atlanta, GA / Hybrid Clearance: Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust or Suitability/Fitness determination Responsibilities * Partner with business stakeholders, Product Owners, developers, and testers to understand business needs and translate them into clear, actionable requirements. * Lead requirements gathering activities through stakeholder interviews, process analysis, use case development, and workflow analysis. * Develop and maintain business, functional, and non-functional requirements, including system touchpoints, reporting, dashboards, data, and workflows. * Translate business needs into user stories, technical specifications, acceptance criteria, and business rules for development teams. * Manage requirements and backlog artifacts using Agile tools such as Jira or Azure DevOps. * Document current and future state business processes, identifying gaps and opportunities for automation or process improvement. * Support User Acceptance Testing by developing plans, facilitating testing sessions, documenting results, and validating solutions for deployment. * Conduct qualitative analysis and provide strategic recommendations for system and process enhancements. * Participate in Agile ceremonies and ensure clear understanding of requirements throughout development cycles. * Collaborate with technical and business teams to ensure solutions meet stakeholder expectations and program objectives. What You Bring * 3+ years of Business Analyst experience working directly with business users. * Proficiency in developing user stories, acceptance criteria, business rules, and requirement documentation. * Experience supporting UAT activities, including test plan and script development. * Strong familiarity with Agile principles, ceremonies, backlog management, and requirements tools such as Jira or Azure DevOps. * Ability to perform requirements elicitation using various techniques, including interviews and process analysis. * Experience documenting as-is and to-be business processes and process flows. * Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills. * Ability to work on-site in Atlanta, GA. * Must be able to obtain and maintain a Public Trust or Suitability/Fitness determination. * Bachelor's degree required. Nice to Have * Experience supporting public health, healthcare, or federal analytics programs. * Knowledge of Palantir Foundry or related data technologies. * Supporting data, reporting, or dashboard initiatives. * Professional certifications such as CBAP, PMI-PBA, or Agile certifications.
