We are currently seeking a Business Analyst. Candidates need to be located within a two-hour drive of Frankfort, KY and be able to report to our client's office, if requested. Candidates will also be required to attend a few meetings per year onsite in Frankfort, KY. The remote work policy can change at any time, local candidates are preferred.
Job Description:
We are seeking a Business Analyst to join our client's team. Our client is responsible for the investment of over $27B in combined funds and the administration of benefits for over 420(k) government employees, including state employees, state police officers, city and county employees, as well as non-teaching staff of local school boards and regional universities. Our client is responsible for designing and implementing solutions for the complex and interesting challenges presented by the business. Our client's team works as liaisons between business users and technology staff to problem-solve, determine workable solutions, and streamline processes to provide excellent service to members, staff, and other client stakeholders.
Responsibilities Include, But Are Not Limited To:
  • Providing project management for smaller designs - leading design meetings, providing relevant data to design teams for decision-making, and eliciting and documenting design requirements.
  • Working with development and technical teams to provide information for implementing new features and enhancements.
  • Working with business and technical teams to prioritize backlog including aiding product owners in preparing work items by writing acceptance criteria and test cases.
  • Performing exhaustive testing of changes by writing, executing, and documenting complex test scripts.
  • Providing research and recommendations for resolving Production issues.
  • Troubleshooting issues as they arise for business teams and determining criticality.
  • Processing and fulfilling data requests and corrections using business knowledge and technical tools.
  • Analyzing legislation for potential impact.
  • Writing and maintaining process documentation.

Desired Qualifications:
  • Minimum four years' experience in Business Analysis including requirements elicitation, process and software design and documentation, and QA testing.
  • Experience facilitating and leading designs with business and technical staff for the implementation and prioritization of application enhancements and modifications.

  • Communication - the ability to communicate complex technical information clearly and effectively both verbally and in writing
