Job description

Classification: Non-exempt Hourly
Reports to: Mike Taylor
Overview
All bus drivers are part time hourly positions. CDL drivers will drive for athletic trips and to assist with daily bus routes. Hours vary based on current needs. Some hours may also be needed on Saturdays.
Supervisory Responsibilities: None
Qualifications
  • A good driving record
  • Current Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with Passenger and School (P amp;S) Bus Endorsement
  • Ability to pass a drug test
  • Ability to pass a background check

Spiritual and Personal Expectations
  • Acknowledges Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior.
  • Commits to faithful active service in a local Christian church and personal prayer and Bible study.
  • Commits to model spiritual, academic, physical, and social growth personally and professionally.
  • Maintains a Christian lifestyle that reflects the biblical perspective of integrity and appropriate personal and family relationships, personal conduct, and moral behavior.

Responsibilities
  • Follows a planned bus route, making scheduled stops to pick up or drop off passengers.
  • Visually inspects the bus before beginning the day’s assigned route.
  • Reports any mechanical issues with the bus such as brakes, steering, or other issues.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.
  • Requirements for this job include: a good driving record, and a Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with Passenger and School (P amp;S) Bus Endorsements.

Physical Requirements
  • Prolonged periods of sitting and driving a bus.
  • Ability to inspect bus prior to route.
