Job description

WHAT WE OFFER :

MULTIPLE POSITIONS AVAILABLE. OVERTIME HOURS AVAILABLE AS WE CONTINUE TO GROW.

  • $24.45 HOURLY with a $7,500 SIGNING BONUS PAID WITHIN YOUR FIRST YEAR!

  • NEW YORK STATE COMMERCIAL DRIVER'S LICENSE (ANY CLASS) WITH A PASSENGER AND STUDENT ENDORSEMENT REQUIRED.

  • Full-Time Employment

  • $750 Referral Bonus for any and all new CDL Drivers you bring in and are hired!

BENEFITS

  • $7,500 hiring bonus - The sign-on bonus is paid in quarterly installments. Bonus payments are considered taxable income, and all applicable taxes will be withheld. Additional terms and conditions may apply.

Qualifications

  • Must be at least 21 years of age

  • Must possess or obtain a valid Commercial Drivers license, with both student and passenger endorsements

  • Must qualify following criminal and driving history checks in accordance with Federal, State and local guidelines

  • Must be able to pass, both upon initial employment and every two years a Department of Transportation physical examination per District guidelines

  • Must be able to read and comprehend the Rules and Regulations Governing the Operation of School Transportation Vehicles

  • Must satisfactorily complete the NYCSBUS training program and driving test

  • Must attain an acceptable score on written examination pertaining to school bus laws and regulations

  • Must acquire and maintain a standard Red Cross first aid certificate

  • Must pass drug and alcohol and Department of Motor Vehicle report screenings prior to employment; with a valid state license or ID

Calificaciones

  • Debe tener al menos 21 años de edad.

  • Debe poseer o obtener una licencia de conducir comercial válida, con los endosos de estudiante y de pasajero.

  • Debe calificar después de verificaciones de antecedentes penales y de manejo de acuerdo con las pautas federales, estatales y locales.

  • Debe poder aprobar, tanto en el empleo inicial como cada dos años, un examen físico del Departamento de Transporte según las pautas del Distrito.

  • Debe poder leer y comprender las normas y reglamentos que rigen la operación de los vehículos de transporte escolar.

  • Debe completar satisfactoriamente el programa de capacitación y el examen de manejo de NYCSBUS.

  • Debe obtener una puntuación aceptable en un examen escrito relacionado con las leyes y regulaciones de autobuses escolares.

  • Debe adquirir y mantener un certificado estándar de primeros auxilios de la Cruz Roja.

  • Debe pasar exámenes de detección de drogas y alcohol y del Departamento de Vehículos Motorizados antes de trabajar; con una licencia estatal válida o identificación.
