Description:
The Manalapan-Englishtown Regional School District, an award winning, Central Monmouth, K-8 school district with a tradition of excellence in education, is seeking a Part-Time Bus Assistant for the Transportation Department, with the following requirements:
Requirements:
  • Epi-pen training required (will be provided)
  • Lay out seatbelts before arriving at child's bus stop
  • Must prepare vehicle for any special need the student may have
  • Must be in good physical condition
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
  • Assist children getting in and out of bus; assist (lift) child getting into seat, and secure child with seatbelt
  • Must be familiar with emergency evacuation procedure and assist driver in the event of an emergency evacuation
  • Must be able to assist the driver if it is necessary to back up the bus
  • Must be patient and able to interact with special needs students
  • Must have prior experience as a bus assistant
