Dishwasher

We are looking for a dedicated, organized dishwasher who enjoys working as part of a team in a fast paced culinary environment. The dishwasher's duties include removing soiled plates and flatware from tables, washing them thoroughly, and resetting tables in preparation for the next party. They may also restock items, unload delivery trucks, and help prepare cook stations, clean appliances and machines, empty and clean trash receptacles, and other duties, as needed.

To be successful as a dishwasher, you should be a committed, communicative team player with excellent time management skills. You should be able to prioritize tasks in a busy setting and adhere to all food safety regulations and procedures.

Specific responsibilities:

  • Wash dishes, glassware, flatware, pots, or pans, using dishwashers or by hand.
  • Maintain kitchen work areas, equipment, or utensils in clean and orderly condition.
  • Place clean dishes, utensils, or cooking equipment in storage areas.
  • Sort and remove trash, placing it in designated pickup areas.
  • Sweep or scrub floors.
  • Stock supplies, such as food or utensils, in serving stations, cupboards, refrigerators, or salad bars.
  • Prepare and package individual place settings.
  • Clean or prepare various foods for cooking or serving.
  • Receive and store supplies.
  • Clean garbage cans with water or steam.
  • Load or unload trucks that deliver or pick up food or supplies.
  • Transfer supplies or equipment between storage and work areas, by hand or using hand trucks.
  • Set up banquet tables.
