As a Representative and Champion for Airgas, the Microbulk Driver takes pride in the safe and reliable delivery of pressurized bulk liquid gases to our local and regional business partners. Operating from an Airgas branch or plant location using a company-provided tanker or route truck, you will safely transport, load, and fill Microbulk tanks while building lasting relationships with the customers you visit. As a Microbulk Driver at Airgas, you will be part of a supportive professional team that encourages your personal growth and internal mobility, while ensuring you have the work/life balance you need to thrive.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Bulk Tanker Operations: Safely fill a pressurized bulk liquid gas tanker and load, deliver, and unload supplies to and from a service truck on an assigned route daily. Fill customer Microbulk tanks as assigned.

  • Record Keeping: Accurately record deliveries and pick-ups on a load manifest, obtain customer signatures for receipt, and utilize an On-Board Computer (OBC) to ensure data accuracy. Maintain required vehicle documents and ensure manifests balance with truck counts and shipping documents before and after deliveries.

  • Safety and Compliance: Adhere to all Airgas safety standards (SAFECOR) and government regulations, including those from DOT, EPA, FMCSA, and OSHA. Strictly observe all safety rules, utilize required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), conduct pre- and post-trip vehicle inspections, and monitor customer units to ensure safe, proper operation.

  • Customer Relations & Service: Establish and maintain good customer relations by working with customers to maintain proper gas levels, listening to and resolving service inquiries or complaints, and maintaining a neat, clean, and professional appearance.

  • Warehouse & Operations Support: Assist management with route evaluations and efficiencies. Operate a pallet jack, forklift, or other warehouse equipment and provide assistance on the dock or in the warehouse as needed.

________________________Are you a MATCH? Required Qualifications:
  • Must be at least 21 years old.

  • Valid Class A CDL with HAZMAT (or able to obtain within 90 days from hire date) & Airbrake endorsements

  • Maintain appropriate driver's license, medical card & endorsements

  • No more than two (2) traffic convictions: OR two (2) at-fault accident in the last 3 years; or no more than a combination of one (1) traffic conviction and one (1) at-fault accident in the last 3 years

  • No driving while under the influence of alcohol or a controlled substance within the last seven (7) years

  • Must be able to work in a drug-free environment

  • Be able to regularly lift 75lbs and move more than 125lbs with the aid of material handling equipment

  • In lieu of experience, may consider accepting a diploma from an accredited driving school and a minimum of one (1) year of prior driving experience within the last five (5) years.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Prior experience in the gas, welding and safety supply industry preferred.
