Exciting Career Opportunity: Regional Operations Manager (South Texas)


Join our dynamic Operations Management team as a Regional Operations Manager for the South Texas region for a leading building materials distributor, servicing contractor and builder accounts. This role offers the chance to contribute to the growth and success of a top employer.


Responsibilities:


  • Provide direction and leadership to assigned branches under the supervision of the Operations Manager.
  • Guide Branch Operations Managers in various practices including warehousing, inventory control, building maintenance, fleet maintenance, health and safety, personnel training, and employee development.
  • Ensure superior customer experience by performing all transactions and activities efficiently, originating from the front desk and warehouse.
  • Lead, direct, and motivate teams to achieve operational excellence.
  • Develop and implement operational and warehousing strategies to enhance branch performance.
  • Conduct regular audits at branches to review building maintenance, fleet maintenance, and health and safety policies.
  • Travel with Regional Sales Managers to visit large account customers as needed.
  • Participate actively in training new warehouse personnel.
  • Support Branch Operations Managers in achieving or exceeding branch-specific performance targets.
  • Collaborate with branch leaders and the sales team to review open order reports and resolve issues effectively.
  • Train branches on warehousing of new products and best practices.
  • Improve organizational processes to enhance quality, productivity, and efficiency at the branch level.
  • Address health and safety concerns and ensure compliance with company and provincial safety standards.
  • Work closely with the inventory department to perform counts as required.
