Full-Time | Base Salary + Commission | Management Position

Position Overview

Ghent Motors is seeking an experienced and motivated Assistant Service Manager to help lead our growing Service Department. This position is responsible for supporting daily service operations, assisting with employee supervision, ensuring exceptional customer experiences, and helping drive departmental profitability.

The ideal candidate is a strong leader who can effectively manage customer relationships, support service advisors and technicians, and maintain a high-performing service team.

Responsibilities
  • Assist in overseeing the daily operations of the service department.
  • Support and supervise service advisors and other service personnel.
  • Help manage shop workflow to maximize productivity and efficiency.
  • Ensure outstanding customer satisfaction and timely communication throughout the service process.
  • Address and resolve customer concerns professionally and effectively.
  • Monitor repair order quality and accuracy.
  • Work closely with technicians to ensure repairs are completed correctly and on schedule.
  • Assist in achieving departmental sales, gross profit, and customer retention goals.
  • Help recruit, train, coach, and develop service department employees.
  • Maintain compliance with manufacturer requirements, dealership policies, and safety standards.
  • Promote a positive team culture focused on customer service and accountability.
Qualifications
  • Previous automotive dealership service experience required.
  • Service Advisor, Assistant Service Manager, or Service Management experience preferred.
  • Strong leadership and team-building skills.
  • Excellent customer service and communication abilities.
  • Ability to handle multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
  • Knowledge of dealership management systems and repair order processes.
  • Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.
