Job description

Job Description We're hiring a Building Porter for our West Houston area client. We are looking for dependable, experienced machinists with strong attention to detail who are ready to interview immediately. DESCRIPTION OF YOUR DREAM JOB: Job Title: Porter Location: West Houston, TX 77027 Pay: $18hr Hours: Monday-Friday, 7:00 AM-4:00 PM-ish Duration: Temp-to-Hire Description of Duties: Sweep, mop, vacuum, dust, and sanitize assigned building areas.

Clean and maintain lobbies, breakrooms, offices, garden rooms, storage areas, and common areas. Clean and sanitize elevator cabs, handrails, and stairwells throughout the day. Empty trash and recycling, including pickup from residential units.

Buff floors and clean light fixtures and metal finishes as scheduled. Maintain cleanliness of doors, mailboxes, kick plates, saddles, and other common-area surfaces. Maintain exterior grounds, garden areas, parking lot entrances/exits, and drains.

Assist with pool-area cleaning and maintenance. Perform power washing of exterior areas as needed. Change light bulbs and assist with basic maintenance tasks as directed.

Identify and promptly report safety hazards, maintenance issues, and building/ground concerns. Requirements: Previous janitorial, custodial, porter, housekeeping, or building maintenance experience preferred. Strong attention to detail and cleanliness.

Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks. Reliable attendance and punctuality. Good communication skills.

Ability to perform physical duties including standing, walking, bending, lifting, sweeping, mopping, and moving supplies. Must be comfortable working both indoors and outdoors. Must be safety-conscious and able to identify and report maintenance concerns.
